In your remarks, please factor in the nutritional value indicated.
And do NOT mention this to Sparky. Thank you.

It is not HOW you found it that is of interest to me. It is WHY you found it that has piqued my interest.

This brings to mind the book (soon to be a movie) “The Road.” Apocalypse has happened. The earth is covered with ash. Crops no longer grow. People roam the shattered landscape scavenging and descending to unthinkable depths of desperation.
This can will still be left behind.

Kevin, you mean what was in Kitty’s Google alerts? Good question. I’m thinking one of the search terms must be: Bleccccch.

Hey guys, I found it in my RSS feed “What’s hot in Google”. Apparently some folks at Google think this is the next best thing since well … SCRAPPLE!!! YUCK!

They should switch the name to ‘Heart Attack in a Can!”. After the first spoonful you’d be grabbing your chest and laying on the ground. Either that or you sprout Sparky’s infinite wisdom from eating pork brains!

The “serving suggestion” on the front of the can kills me. Show of hands – who would even touch the parsley sprig – let alone grab a fork?
I wonder if the poor sap who had to photgraph this decontaminted the bowl or called in the county hazmat team to handle it as hazardous waste. I don’t even think the stray cats in my neighborhood would touch this.

Perhaps we shouldn’t worry too much about the cholesterol – sodium nitrite is toxic if swallowed. Severe eye irritant. Respiratory and skin irritant. May act as a carcinogen for chronic exposure. And a danger to the environment!
See Health and Safety data sheet at: http://msds.chem.ox.ac.uk/SO/sodium_nitrite.html

I’ve been looking for a quick death via food – thanks!
